Independent & Collaborative Projects, Large & Small
It costs nothing to participate, in either fees or time commitment, but our Members help to grow the worldwide knowledgebase and have access to research and publications
From complete 19th century books, family photographs uploaded by Members, to research papers produced by the Study, the Assets & Archives area is our library
The Threlkeld DNA Project at Family Tree DNA is a critical element of the Study. We as yet have too few participants to draw any conclusions about ancestral line relationships, and encourage any Members interested to get tested.
WikiTree is expressly designed for thousands to collaborate on a one-world family tree. For that reason—plus some handy utilities useful to one-name studies—we've standardized on WikiTree as our genealogy tool of record.
We use an application called Webtrees where we document early Threlkeld lines, and we can install limited, personal GEDCOMs for Members as an archival method or for sharing with public read capability.
